U.S. Green Building Council?

USGBC members represent the best organizations from all fields. Our members are local and international, big and small, mission and market-driven. They make an impact within their sphere of influence and advance the movement for more sustainable built environments.

The U.S. Green Building Council is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation.

H2o Concepts International inc. is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. Our products do not use salt or potassium or chemicals in the treatment of your water. We believe that providing a better water treatment product should not have to impact the environment.

Water treatment using a water softener is performed by the removal of calcium, magnesium, and certain other metal cations in hard water, the process is achieved using ion-exchange resins. The water softening process involves a regeneration process that uses the process of ion exchange. When all the available Na+ ions have been replaced with calcium or magnesium ions, the resin must be re-charged by eluting the Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions using a solution of sodium chloride or sodium hydroxide depending on the type of resin used. For anionic resins, regeneration typically uses a solution of sodium hydroxide (lye) or potassium hydroxide.

The wastewaters eluted from the ion exchange column containing the unwanted calcium and magnesium salts are typically discharged to the sewage system.

H2o Concepts

H2o Concepts products DO NOT USE the ion exchange process and DO NOT discharge salt brine into the sewer systems. Our Arizona Whole House Water Filter Systems are environmentally friendly and keep in the calcium and magnesium in the water that is important to the human body.
