Ask the selling company if they are "the installer" if so a Registrar of Contractors License is required
If not get the Company and Persons name & number. Call them to verify they do installs for that Company.
They must be licensed if the complete project (system & install) is over $1000.00 a license is required.

NSF They are authorized to certify NSF/ANSI They certify Softener system & Filtration.
If they don't use Salt or Potassium Chloride (Softener) Ask if they de-scale (clean out the build-up) in your plumbing, if so ask if it is a certified technology?
|IAPMO certifies Plumbing Equipment & Writes Plumbing codes. IAPMO is only certifying organization that has a test protocol for certifying de-scalers.
